Overview:
Construction Company seeks a HR Director to oversee the Human Resources Department with a focus on driving a successful team that promotes a people-first culture and cultivates a strong employee experience.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with the Leadership Team to set the overall workforce strategy; consult with leadership on organizational and change management and serve as an advisor on succession planning and leadership development.
- Lead the development and implementation of Human Resources protocols, performance management systems and employee relations strategies; provide guidance to Leadership Team and division leaders on all personnel-related matters.
- Manage the development of robust talent acquisition efforts to build a strong pipeline for future hiring needs.
- Direct training and development programs.
- Oversee recruitment and career development initiatives to ensure the long-term retention of successful and effective employees, leaders and executives.
- Ensure meaningful human resources support is provided at all levels of the company; hold the Human Resources Department accountable for timely exchanges of accurate information, reports, data, documents and trends to effectuate decision making processes by the Leadership Team.
- Mediate and provide solutions to personnel concerns as needed.
- Keep abreast of government regulations, public policies and industry requirements; work with CFO to amend company policies and protocols as needed.
- Obtain and leverage information about compensation and benefits packages based on market data.
- Coordinate with CFO on issues related to compensation, benefits and yearly reviews.
Requirements:
- 10+ years of experience in a human resources leadership role.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- Expertise in performance management and talent acquisition.
- Understanding of industry-specific regulatory and compliant requirements.
- Familiarity with the construction, asphalt and aggregates industries.
- Exceptional leadership and management skills with the ability to build, maintain and motivate a high-performance team.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize responsibilities and maintain composure with a high-volume, high demand schedule.
- Drive to achieve outstanding results grounded in professional integrity and accountability.
