Overview:
Asphalt company seeks a Director of Field Operations to lead and oversee the Project Manager’s activities and expectations to complete projects in a safe, high quality, efficient and cost-effective manner.
Responsibilities:
- Lead, manage, motivate and coach the Project Management team
- Collaborate on strategic scheduling efforts
- Schedule asphalt & concrete work
- Reviews, monitors and reports job cost performance
- Facilitates, monitors and measures other Project Manager activities
- Manages and collaborates on other initiatives and special projects
- Facilitates multiple project management meetings
- Provides field visibility and support
- Develops new processes and systems along with sustaining current ones
- Base knowledge of all active projects
- Commitment to the safety of employees and public
- Dedication to the care of the company’s assets
- Support and engage in the organization’s continuous improvement effort
- Follow and enforce company policies
Requirements:
- 15 years’ experience within the road construction industry preferred
- 10 years’ experience in a supervisory capacity, preferably as an Asphalt Paving Superintendent or Foreman
- Knowledge of road construction methods, materials and industry requirements
- Ability to perform work in high traffic volume areas for extended periods
- Ability to demonstrate strong work ethic with integrity and commitment to compliance
- Valid driver’s license with insurable driving record
