Overview:
As a Terminal Manager, you will ultimately be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the liquid asphalt terminal. This position requires a strong commitment to plant safety and operational excellence, focused on administrative reporting, personnel safety and management, product manufacturing, product quality, environmental and regulatory compliance and documentation reporting. The Terminal Manager is responsible for helping plan and providing local oversight of capital improvements and expansion projects, ensuring plant reliability, troubleshooting, plant repairs and preventive maintenance.
Responsibilities:
- Must be available 24/7 and able to work full days and periodic alternate shifts. Requires ability to periodically work long hours, multiple shifts, nights and weekends included.
- Requires working in office conditions, performing some clerical work, working periodically outside in a railroad environment, with and around operational process equipment in temperature extremes for extended periods of time.
- Manage the overall operations of the terminal, including freight management, dispatching, and production planning.
- Ensuring that all materials are handled and stored correctly.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations.
- Analyze data and implement changes to optimize our systems and processes.
- Conduct root cause analysis to identify and resolve operational issues.
- Manage and lead a team of terminal operating staff and drivers.
- Ensure that all safety protocols are followed, and that the terminal is a safe and healthy work environment.
Requirements:
- Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time and able to bend, stoop and kneel as needed.
- Able to enter confined spaces and wear proper PPE when required.
- Able to climb railcars and tanks.
- Requires working in office conditions, performing some clerical work, working periodically outside in a manufacturing plant environment, with and around operational process equipment in temperature extremes for extended periods of time.
- Able to work around asphalt and other related chemicals on an ongoing basis.
- Able to lift 50-75lbs. repetitively as needed.
- Ability to work outside in inclement weather conditions.
- Must be able to work over nights and weekends. Some holidays may be required.
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 75 lbs.
- Minimum 5 years’ prior experience with asphalt terminal operations and product receipts by rail and truck or alternately within a chemical processing environment.
- A valid driver’s license is required.

- Must be able to proficiently communicate site information.
- Must speak English fluently.
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
