Overview:
This position requires someone who can successfully manage and lead remedial projects ranging in size from $200,000 to $10M.
Responsibilities:
- Manage all parties involved (internal and external) from project estimate through construction and close-out phases
- Plan, direct and coordinate project activities to ensure that goals/objectives are accomplished within the prescribed time frame and funding parameters, and with the highest levels of safety
- Develop and review project schedules, cost estimates, budgets, scopes of work, standards and quotes from suppliers
- Review and approve shop drawings, submittals, and work plans
- Develop and process Change Orders
- Manage Requests for Information (RFIs) from the client
- Track actual progress, scheduling and invoicing
Requirements:
- 10+ years of related work experience in construction management or project management, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Working knowledge and practical experience dealing with mass earthwork, sheet pile shoring systems, in-situ stabilization and soil treatment, dewatering and by-pass systems, temporary and permanent water treatment systems and analytical work. associated with remedial construction
- Experience with behavior-based safety programs
- Experience with environmental regulatory agencies
- Thorough understanding of cost estimating and budget projections
- Experience in all fiscal aspects of project management
- Strong understanding of engineering and construction documents and processes
- Ability to review contract drawings and understand civil, mechanical, electrical and plumbing and project plans and specifications
- Must pass company pre-employment medical exam and drug test
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and the ability to operate a motor vehicle
- Must have the ability to professionally speak, read and write English
- Must pass pre-employment background check
