Superintendent

Overview:
An environmental remediation and demolition company has an immediate need for a Structural Demolition Superintendent. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, be self-motivated, able to multi-task and be a problem-solver, show a strong attention to detail and organization and believe in a team-oriented approach.

Responsibilities:

Management and coordination of trucking fuel, equipment, rentals, maintenance and repairs
Project Documentation to include daily reports, demolition plans, equipment maintenance reports, project documentation and time sheets
Daily coordination with Project Managers and General Contractor Superintendents
Coordination and sequencing of all structural demolition
Coverage of equipment operator when not available
Travel to all locations for projects that would require employment functions
Coordination of locations and cost savings for inert debris disposal
Continuing education of structural demolition tactics to include torch burning and dismantlement

Requirements:

Familiar with a wide range of heavy equipment and how they interact during the demolition process
Ability to read and interpret Construction Drawings and Specifications
Problem solving/troubleshooting ability
Able to work well as a team player and communicate with all field personnel and management
Construction and job costing experience
A minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in the construction industry (demo, asbestos and/or lead hazard abatement experience preferred)
Strong communication and organizational skills, with an attention to detail and a commitment to follow-through
