Overview:
Frac Sand Producer is seeking a Industrial Electrician responsible for the electrical and industrial automation and controls systems.
Responsibilities:
- Installation, modification, troubleshooting and repair of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) utilized in an industrial automation and control systems
- Utilize programming software to troubleshoot industrial automation and control systems
- Interpret and utilize technical diagrams, electrical schematics, P&IDs, flow diagrams and PLC ladder logic to troubleshoot and maintain industrial automation, control and electrical systems
- Design, plan, install, troubleshoot and maintain industrial automation and control systems equipment and instrumentation such as loop controllers, variable frequency drives, solid state reduced voltage starters, level sensors, pressure sensors, motion sensors, networking equipment (CISCO, Stratix, Ethernet, Modbus, ControlNet, DeviceNet, etc.), motor controls centers, belt scales and control/relay panels
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot and repair electrical controls and wiring (AC, DC, switches, motor controls, safety circuits, etc.)
- Assists in routine schedule maintenance and emergency repairs of plant equipment including conveyors, bucket elevators and washing/drying equipment
- Install, troubleshoot and repair electric motors and motor controls (120, 240, and 480V)
- Knowledge of basic hand tools and machine shop equipment, the proper use of all electrical test equipment/meters (Fluke multimeters, meggers, etc.) utilized to perform electrical/electronic testing and repairs of industrial automation and electrical systems
- Perform preventive maintenance tasks on electrical systems and components as scheduled and complete required documentation of repairs and service information when work is finished
- Perform all work in a manner that meets and follows all electrical codes and standards
- Ensure adequate inventory of necessary electrical/electronic supplies and parts
- Contact vendors to source replacement components for all electrical/electronic equipment
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Associates degree or certificate in an industrial electrical/electrician program from a technical, vocational, or trade school/college preferred
- Completion of an industrial electrician’s apprenticeship program preferred
- Journeyman Electrician License preferred
- 4 years combined schooling and industrial electrician experience required
- Strong industrial electrical and electronics background
- Strong industrial electrical/electronic troubleshooting knowledge (industrial automation/controls, PLCs, hardwired systems, discrete/analog I/O, networking) and the ability to read electrical schematics, utilize technical diagrams, P&IDs and PLC ladder logic to troubleshoot and maintain industrial automation, control and electrical systems
- Proven PLC troubleshooting experience
- PLC background writing, debugging, developing ladder logic programs desired
- Proven HMI Programming experience preferred (Wonderware)
- Computer skills – Windows/Office 365 environment, loading and setup of various software platforms, CMMS, desired
