Overview:
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will play a critical role in overseeing all financial matters for the company. Reporting directly to the owner, the CFO will be responsible for strategic financial planning, management of financial risks, record-keeping, and financial reporting.
Responsibilities:
- Financial Strategy: Develop and implement financial strategies to support the company’s growth and profitability goals.
- Financial Management: Oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Bank and Vendor Relationships: Manage relationships with banks, large vendors, and key customers to ensure financial stability and optimize cash flow.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate financial risks associated with large-scale construction projects.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and financial reporting standards.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as CFO or similar financial leadership role within the Heavy Civil Construction or Highway Construction industry.
- Strong understanding of construction finance, including project financing and accounting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze complex financial data and develop actionable strategies.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
