Overview:
Structural & Misc. Steel Fabricator is looking to add an experienced project manager who can strategically manage multiple projects through all stages. Must be capable of functioning independently, as well as produce quality results in a team environment.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate priorities for simultaneous project launches while handling several tasks at once within a set time frame
- Establish and develop relationships with outside vendors and customers for communicating and coordinating all facets of project development
- Interpret customer drawings and specifications to compile project requirements and perform material takeoffs
- Ability to create, check and/or interpret outline, fabrication, and auxiliary drawings with the use of AutoCAD
- Capable of utilizing cost controls by nesting existing stock inventory for maximum benefit as well as negotiating best prices for project materials with external vendors
- Able to interact effectively with Shop Foreman, Project Engineer, and Quality Inspector for project planning and other needs
Requirements:
- 5+ Years Steel Fabrication Project Management Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Proficient in AutoCAD & Microsoft Office
