Overview:
Steel Manufacturer is seeking a Process Engineer to provide technical support for their plate processing facility.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor, Track & Report on Slab Quality
- Resolve Chemical & Technical Issues related to Rolling Mill Anomalies
- Provide Technical Support to Internal & External Customers
- Investigate Non-conforming Materials & Customer Claims related to Quality, Providing Resolution & Reporting to Suppliers when Needed
- Lead & Participate in Cross-Functional Teams
- Organize Product/Process Improvement Activities
- Ability to Travel Domestically & Internationally
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Metallurgy or Material Science
- 5+ Years Metallurgy Experience in Steel Mills / Steel Manufacturing
- Strong Background in Metallurgy, Alloys, Heat-Treating and/or Steel Plate Rolling
- Strong Analytical & Problem Solving Skills
