Overview:
Southern Steel Mill seeks Senior Metallurgists to provide technical guidance in the Melting, Rolling Mill and Heat Treating operations.
Responsibilities:
- Develops, implements & reviews operating practices to exceed industry standards in the production of quality steel
- Interprets data & makes recommendations to management team
- Trains & Mentors Junior Personnel
- Collaborates with Sales Team on Quality related issues
- Initiates Changes to Improve Quality & Process
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s in Metallurgy or Material Science
- 7+ Years Relevant Metallurgy, Quality or Process Experience
- Steel Mill / Manufacturing Experience a MUST
- Six Sigma Certified (Black Belt or Higher)
