Overview:
Steel Fabricator seeks a Production Supervisor to oversee daily shop floor operations.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of machine operators, fitters, welders, clean/paint & shipping/receiving departments
- Balance multiple project schedules simultaneously to ensure on time production goals
- Document production tracking through the life-cycle of the project
- Ensure all fabrication is performed in accordance with AISC & AWS standards & project requirements
- Collaborate with quality control, 3rd party inspectors, & engineering to resolve technical or production-related issues
- Monitor labor & material usage to reduce waste & optimize efficiency
- Ensure timely completion of fabrication milestones & on-time delivery of projects to erection crews & clients
Requirements:
- 5+ years structural steel fabrication industry experience
- Experience in a supervisory or lead role
- Extensive experience with reading & interpreting shop drawings and specifications
- Comprehensive knowledge & familiarity of AISC & AWS standards
- Effective communication with cross-functional teams
