Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations across multiple departments including yard operations, processing, shipping/receiving, and scale.
- Lead and develop frontline supervisors and department leads.
- Ensure efficient material flow, equipment utilization, and labor planning.
- Monitor KPIs related to production, safety, quality, and profitability.
- Help manage a workforce of approximately 75+ employees.
- Drive accountability through structured communication, reporting, and performance management.
- Support hiring, onboarding, coaching, discipline, and workforce development.
- Reinforce company policies and operational standards.
- Ensure OSHA, environmental, and company compliance standards are met.
- Assist in managing operational budgets and expense controls.
- Track production metrics and identify opportunities for cost improvement.
- Identify workflow inefficiencies and implement process improvements.
- Support equipment upgrades, layout changes, and operational scaling.
Requirements:
- 7+ years of leadership experience in the metals recycling industry.
- Experience managing multi-department operation – shredding, ferrous, non-ferrous
- Proven ability to lead large teams (50+ employees preferred).
- Strong structural management skills — disciplined, organized, KPI-driven.
- Knowledge of safety compliance in heavy industrial settings.
- Strong communication and leadership presence.
