Overview:
A growing, well-capitalized metals recycling and processing company is seeking a Senior Trader with deep experience in superalloys and high-performance metals. This role will focus on expanding direct procurement channels, developing OEM relationships, and driving commercial growth across aerospace and other high-spec industrial markets.
Responsibilities:
- Source and purchase superalloy and specialty metal scrap domestically and internationally
- Build direct relationships with aerospace machine shops, manufacturers, and industrial generators
- Trade materials including nickel, cobalt, tungsten, titanium, and other high-value alloys
- Sell processed metals to customers across aerospace, defense, medical, and related sectors
- Develop new OEM accounts and expand existing customer relationships
- Negotiate pricing and terms based on market conditions, chemistry, and specifications
- Monitor market trends, pricing dynamics, and competitive activity
- Partner with operations to align material flow with customer demand
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience trading superalloys or specialty metal scrap
- Strong network across suppliers and customers in aerospace-grade markets
- Deep understanding of alloy chemistry and specifications
- Proven track record in both procurement and sales
- Strong negotiation skills and commercial acumen
- Self-starter comfortable operating in a remote, fast-paced environment
