Overview:
We are seeking a driven Regional Sales Manager to lead customer engagement and revenue growth across a defined territory within the metals recycling industry. This is a highly visible, relationship-focused role supporting both aftermarket services and capital equipment sales in a fast-paced, technical environment. The Sales Manager will act as a trusted partner to customers—owning relationships, identifying opportunities, and driving long-term value across a diverse account base.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and grow relationships with scrap processors across a multi-state territory
- Identify and develop aftermarket and capital equipment sales opportunities, driving revenue growth within existing accounts and new prospects
- Conduct regular site visits to understand customer operations, uncover needs, and position solutions
- Serve as the primary liaison between customers and internal teams (sales, engineering, service, and operations)
- Build and manage a robust opportunity pipeline, tracking activity and progress through CRM tools
- Provide field intelligence on market trends, competitive activity, and customer needs to support strategic decisions
- Support equipment installations, performance optimization, and ongoing customer success initiatives
- Represent the organization at industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings
Qualifications:
- 7+ years metals recycling industry experience
- Strong understanding of shredding systems, downstream separation, or scrap processing operations
- Proven success in territory sales, account management, or business development
- Ability to build credibility with yard managers, operations leaders, and ownership groups
- Experience managing a sales pipeline and closing complex, relationship-driven deals
- Comfortable working cross-functionally in a technical, solutions-based sales environment
- Willingness to travel extensively (50–75%)
