Our client, a respected producer of aggregates and ready-mix concrete in Missouri, is seeking a hands-on Quality Control Manager to lead and build a best-in-class quality program.
This is an opportunity to take ownership of all aspects of quality control, from developing procedures and building laboratory capabilities to leading and mentoring a team of technicians.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve the company’s quality control program for aggregate and ready-mix concrete operations.
- Establish and oversee laboratory operations, including equipment selection, setup, and maintenance.
- Missouri DOT Management
- Manage and mentor a team of 3 to 5 quality control technicians.
- Monitor product quality and work closely with operations teams to address issues and drive continuous improvement.
- Analyze test data, prepare reports, and communicate findings to leadership and customers as needed.
- Support mix design development, process optimization, and troubleshooting efforts.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of quality control experience in aggregates, ready-mix concrete, or construction materials.
- Strong knowledge of ASTM, AASHTO, and state DOT testing standards.
- Proven experience building or improving quality systems and laboratory operations.
- Leadership experience managing and developing technicians.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
