Overview:
Established recycling operation seeks an experienced Dispatcher / Logistics Coordinator to support daily transportation and yard logistics for a high-volume metals recycling operation.
This role is ideal for candidates with prior experience in scrap metal recycling, waste, trucking coordination, roll-off dispatching, container logistics, or industrial recycling operations.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate inbound/outbound trucking and container movements
- Schedule drivers, pickups, deliveries, and transfers
- Communicate with suppliers, customers, drivers, and yard personnel
- Track loads, routing, and shipment status
- Support scale operations and shipping documentation as needed
- Maintain accurate dispatch records and reporting
- Assist with inventory flow and material movement coordination
- Work closely with operations and commercial teams to maximize efficiency
Preferred Background:
- Experience in metals recycling, scrap, waste, demolition, trucking, or industrial logistics
- Familiarity with ferrous and non-ferrous materials preferred
- Experience dispatching roll-offs, trailers, luggers, dump trailers, or containers
- Strong multitasking and communication skills
- Comfortable in a fast-paced industrial environment
- Experience with dispatch, scale, or transportation software is a plus
