Overview:
Hands – on Area Operations Manager for multiple sand & gravel mining operations with wet and dry manufacturing plants.
Responsibilities:
- Manage daily activities of mining and production at numerous locations.
- Manage and allocate personnel, as needed, between sites to maximize material production.
- Recruit, train, and develop equipment operators and support staff.
- Ensure compliance with MSHA and company safety policies.
- Oversee fleet maintenance strategy in coordination with maintenance teams and/or vendors.
Requirements:
- Preferred minimum of 5-7 years of mining and material production related experience in the construction aggregates industry.
- Mechanical knowledge of mining equipment and production plants.
- Excellent communication and critical thinking skills.
- Self-motivated, goal oriented, and comfortable working independently.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite – Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Valid driver’s license.
