Overview:
Operate slitting machines to cut large rolls of material into smaller rolls that meet customer and quality requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate slitting machines.
- Load and unload material rolls.
- Adjust machine settings for size and quality.
- Check finished products for defects and correct measurements.
- Monitor machine performance and make basic adjustments.
- Complete production paperwork.
- Keep the work area clean and follow all safety procedures.
- Perform basic machine maintenance and report equipment issues.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Manufacturing or machine operating experience is a plus.
- Basic math and measuring skills.
- Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for long periods.
- Ability to work safely and as part of a team.
