Overview:
An established metals recycling company is seeking an experienced Facility Manager to lead day-to-day yard and processing operations. This is a hands-on leadership position responsible for maintaining safe, efficient production while developing a strong and accountable operations team.
Responsibilities
- Lead daily yard, production and material processing operations
- Manage and develop frontline employees and supervisors
- Coordinate inbound and outbound material flow with logistics and commercial teams
- Monitor production, inventory and finished-material quality
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, throughput and operating performance
- Maintain accurate inventory and operational reporting
- Support budgeting, forecasting and performance analysis
- Drive employee training, safety compliance and continuous improvement
- Ensure strong housekeeping and environmental standards throughout the facility
Qualifications
- 10+ years metals recycling industry management experience
- Strong understanding of non-ferrous & ferrous material processing
- Proven experience leading operational teams in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of inventory, production, logistics and quality control
- Strong computer, analytical and organizational skills
- Working knowledge of industrial safety and OSHA requirements
- Hands-on leadership style with the ability to hold teams accountable and drive results
