Overview:
A reputable steel service center and secondary processor is seeking an experienced Quality Specialist with a strong background in flat-rolled steel to support quality initiatives, customer relationships, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Investigate customer quality concerns and steel defects.
- Review steel specifications, mechanical properties, and mill certifications.
- Work with customers and steel mills to resolve material claims.
- Serve as a technical resource for internal teams and customers.
- Support quality improvements and corrective actions.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Direct experience within flat-rolled steel processing.
- Strong knowledge of steel grades, tolerances, and metallurgy.
- Experience with AHSS/UHSS and automotive steel applications preferred.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
