Overview:
A privately-held leader in the metal recycling industry, is searching for a talented and experienced Project Manager to join our dynamic team. This position offers the unique opportunity to manage capital expenditure (CAPEX) projects across multiple sites in the Midwest and Northeast regions. The ideal candidate will be skilled in project management, process improvement, and environmental health and safety (EHS) practices, with a strong understanding of the metal recycling industry.
Responsibilities:
- Manage CAPEX projects from inception to completion, ensuring that all projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Work closely with engineering and operations teams to develop and implement process improvements that increase efficiency and reduce waste.
- Monitor project progress and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to senior management.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
- Collaborate with vendors, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure that all project requirements are met.
- Ensure that all projects comply with company policies and EHS regulations.
- Provide leadership and guidance to project teams, including training and mentoring.
- Communicate effectively with all project stakeholders, including senior management, engineers and operations staff.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Project Management, or Construction Management.
- 5+ years of project management experience in the metal recycling industry.
- Experience managing CAPEX projects from inception to completion.
- Strong understanding of process improvement principles and EHS practices.
- Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
