Overview:
We are seeking a talented individual to fill the role of SCADA/MES Data Engineer, responsible for spearheading our IT-OT integration initiatives, driving digital transformation, and providing critical support to operations management. The ideal candidate will be adept at developing and implementing comprehensive applications, designing intuitive user interfaces, and conducting insightful analysis to drive actionable outcomes. This role demands proficiency in IT/ERP software and a strong foundation in programming languages such as Python, HTML, CSS, and Visual Studio Code.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deploy end-to-end SCADA, MES, and CMMS applications, integrating seamlessly with ERP systems.
- Ensure the secure integration of Distributed Control Systems into the Ignition Platform Gateway, adhering to cybersecurity standards.
- Design and craft user-friendly applications to enhance operational efficiency.
- Establish and execute a strategic vision for digital transformation, with a focus on real-time visibility into production and operations.
- Lead the convergence of IT and OT realms, overseeing cross-functional teams and prioritizing feature development for digital products.
- Apply Lean Six Sigma and Total Quality Management methodologies to bolster operational effectiveness, reducing manual data entry hours and optimizing production processes.
- Conduct thorough data analysis using BI tools like Tableau, Power BI, and Knime, translating findings into actionable insights.
- Manage data integration efforts into data lakes and warehouses to facilitate enhanced decision-making capabilities.
- Lead project management endeavors, including requirement gathering, workflow organization, stakeholder communication, and budget management.
- Undertake any other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience with OT software and tools such as Ignition by Inductive Automation, Sepasoft MES, Cirrus Link MQTT modules, and various automation products from vendors like Rockwell, Siemens, and Automation Direct.
- Possession of relevant certifications in project management, Lean Six Sigma, or cybersecurity is advantageous.
- Proficiency in IT/ERP software and tools such as Python, HTML, CSS, Visual Studio Code, Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O, SQL Server, and various Microsoft products.
- Strong grasp of data skills and tools, encompassing cloud services like Azure IoT Hub and Azure Data Factory, databases including MSSQL, MySQL, SQLite, and BI tools such as Excel, Power BI, Tableau, and Knime.
- Demonstrated project management capabilities.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
