Job Description:
A leading Ready Mix concrete producer in North Carolina is seeking a highly experienced Maintenance Manager to oversee all plant and fleet maintenance operations across the company. This corporate-based leadership role is responsible for managing multiple maintenance facilities, ensuring optimal performance of 100+ Ready Mix trucks and 10+ production plants.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in maintenance management within the Ready Mix industry, with strong leadership, organizational, and technical skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate all fleet and plant maintenance activities across multiple locations
- Supervise shop managers, technicians, and maintenance teams
- Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs to maximize equipment uptime
- Manage maintenance budgets, inventory, and vendor relationships
- Ensure compliance with DOT, OSHA, and company safety standards
- Provide strategic input on equipment purchases, upgrades, and capital improvements
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in fleet and plant maintenance management within the Ready Mix Concrete Industry
- Strong understanding of Ready Mix trucks, batching systems, and plant operations
- Proven leadership and team management skills
- Excellent problem-solving and communication abilities
- Working knowledge of maintenance management systems and industry best practices
