Overview:
AISC certified fabricator seeks an experienced Quality & Safety Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure that Procedures needed for the Quality Management System are established, implemented and maintained in accordance with the AISC Standard
- Report to Executive Management on the Performance of the Quality Management System and any need for improvement
- Ensure the promotion of awareness of Customer Requirements throughout the Fabricator’s Organization
- Review the Quality Management System at defined intervals to ensure the stability of the Quality Management System and its effectiveness in satisfying AISC Standard for Certification Programs
- Communicate with external parties on matters relating to the Quality Management System
- Plan and implement Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) policies and programs, as well as new updates and rules
- Advise and lead employees on various safety-related topics
- Prepare educational seminars and webinars on a regular basis
- Review existing policies and procedures
- Adhere to all rules and regulations
- Develop a new employee on-boarding process for safety
- Conduct risk assessment
- Enforce preventative measures
- Identify process bottlenecks and offer timely solutions
- Ensure employees are acting in adherence to rules and regulations
- Prepare and present reports on accidents, safety, determine causes and propose solutions
- Oversee workplace repair, installations and other work to ensure employee safety
Requirements:
- 5+ Years Steel Fabrication Industry Experience
- Knowledge of OHSA regulations and or OHSA Certifications a plus
- Excellent knowledge of potentially hazardous materials or practices
- Experience with writing policies and procedures for health and safety
- Familiarity with conducting data analysis and reporting statistics
- Working knowledge of safety management information system
- Outstanding organizational skills
