Quality & Safety Manager

Overview:
AISC certified fabricator seeks an experienced Quality & Safety Manager.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure that Procedures needed for the Quality Management System are established, implemented and maintained in accordance with the AISC Standard
• Report to Executive Management on the Performance of the Quality Management System and any need for improvement
• Ensure the promotion of awareness of Customer Requirements throughout the Fabricator’s Organization
• Review the Quality Management System at defined intervals to ensure the stability of the Quality Management System and its effectiveness in satisfying AISC Standard for Certification Programs
• Communicate with external parties on matters relating to the Quality Management System
• Plan and implement Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) policies and programs, as well as new updates and rules
• Advise and lead employees on various safety-related topics
• Prepare educational seminars and webinars on a regular basis
• Review existing policies and procedures
• Adhere to all rules and regulations
• Develop a new employee on-boarding process for safety
• Conduct risk assessment
• Enforce preventative measures
• Identify process bottlenecks and offer timely solutions
• Ensure employees are acting in adherence to rules and regulations
• Prepare and present reports on accidents, safety, determine causes and propose solutions
• Oversee workplace repair, installations and other work to ensure employee safety

Requirements:

• 5+ Years Steel Fabrication Industry Experience
• Knowledge of OHSA regulations and or OHSA Certifications a plus
• Excellent knowledge of potentially hazardous materials or practices
• Experience with writing policies and procedures for health and safety
• Familiarity with conducting data analysis and reporting statistics
• Working knowledge of safety management information system
• Outstanding organizational skills

• Great interpersonal and communication skills
