Overview:
Aggregate Company is seeking an Plant Maintenance Lead to identifies, evaluates, and performs mechanical and preventative repairs to plant processing equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure safety of self and other people
- Lead and supervise a team of maintenance technicians, delegating tasks, providing training, and ensuring adherence to safety protocols
- Develop and follow work schedules to meet project goals and objectives
- Supervise contractors and vendors working on site
- Participate with site personnel to evaluate and resolve safety issues when they arise
- Participate in Company safety inspections as well as MSHA inspections
- Identify repair requirements for equipment and conduct effective and timely repairs
- Develop and execute preventative maintenance routines for plant equipment
- Lead and ensure execution of Lock Out/Tag Out procedures per company policy
- Operate various plant equipment required to perform the job (stationary and mobile)
- Read machine manuals, parts lists, blueprints and schematics
- Parts inventory management, keep detailed records of depletion and needed inventory
- Present process improvements to management team
- Document failure findings through root cause analysis and suggest any improvements to extend life or decrease failure rate
- Organize and rebuild bone yard equipment for future use
- Assist with training of new employees
Requirements:
- 5 years mechanical experience which includes experience in industrial maintenance repair
- Ability to follow safety and environmental rules, regulations, and procedures
- Knowledge of crushing equipment, conveyors, hydraulics, pneumatics, pumps, welding, plumbing, machine tooling, blueprints, schematics, parts lists, and equipment standards related to job duties
- Knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic principles, application, troubleshooting, and repair
- Working knowledge of welding equipment and tools / skills in basic welding and fabrication
- Ability to read, understand, and apply information from technical manuals, prints, and schematics for troubleshooting and repair
- Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and blueprints
- Ability to work in elevated areas in a man lift
- Must be flexible and capable of learning several different jobs in the department
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and physical, which will include a background check
