Overview
The Wet Plant Manager will oversee all operations related to the wet processing of sand, including washing, classification, and water management. This role ensures safe, efficient, and environmentally compliant plant operations while meeting production and quality objectives.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily wet plant operations including washing, screening, and classification.
- Supervise and develop plant operators, maintenance personnel, and support staff.
- Ensure compliance with MSHA, environmental permits, and company safety standards.
- Monitor process flows to optimize recovery, efficiency, and water usage.
- Oversee tailings management, water recycling, and slurry handling systems.
- Work with quality control teams to maintain product specifications.
- Develop preventative maintenance schedules to minimize downtime.
- Provide operational reports and production data to senior leadership.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; engineering or technical background a plus.
- 5+ years of supervisory experience in mineral processing or aggregate operations.
- Strong knowledge of wet plant processes, slurry pumps, hydrocyclones, and thickeners.
- Understanding of environmental compliance and water treatment.
- Proven leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Legally eligible to work in the U.S.
