Overview:
Aggregate Company is seeking a Controller to lead the company’s financial activities, oversee day-to-day accounting and administrative functions and serve as trusted partner to ownership.
Responsibilities:
- Own the monthly close process for multiple entities
- Prepare accurate monthly financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)
- Maintain general ledger accuracy and reconciliations for multiple companies
- Manage AP & AR
- Process weekly payroll
- Provide operational financial information on inventory and cost of goods sold
- Maintain internal controls and accounting procedures
- Coordinate with external CPAs, unions, and government entities for tax filings and compliance filings
Requirements:
- 5–8 years of accounting or finance experience
- Prior Senior Accountant, Accounting Manager, or Controller
- Multi-entity or owner-operated businesses experience
- Strong general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, tax, and banking knowledge is required
- Experience in manufacturing, construction, or other trade industry
