Overview:
Aggregate Producer is seeking an Operations/Plant Manager to be responsible for directing, coordinating and overseeing the day-to-day operations of the facility.
Responsibilities:
- Follow safety regulations and guidelines
- Promote team development through encouragement and by building mutual trust, respect and cooperation among team members
- Generate weekly and monthly activity reports that track mining, processing, production tonnage, sales tonnage, operating efficiency and other key performance indicators
- Surveying, sampling and sand optimization
- Assess training needs of department personnel
- Work well with the parent company team and Plant Manager
- Work with management team to meet required customers’ demands while balancing plant production
- Ensure maximum utilization and performance of mobile and stationary equipment at lowest overall operating costs
- Collect, analyze and report production documents on a weekly, monthly and yearly basis to Plant Manager
- Work closely with all supporting Departments to ensure maximum production and meeting of quality specifications in a safe and cost-effective manner
- Oversee personnel actions such as hires, promotions, transfers, discharges and corrective / attendance counseling
- Assist Plant Manager and Human Resources to resolve personnel problems, complaints or grievances
- Work closely with plant manager and safety in order to stay in compliance with environmental and MSHA rules and regulations
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree required, Major in Engineering or related field, preferred
- 10 years of experience in a manufacturing, mining, or aggregate environment
- Experience within a mining Wet/Wash Plant operation required
- 5 years supervisory experience required
- Bilingual Preferred
