Overview:
Aggregate Producer is look for a Plant Foreman to be responsible for the operation of the secondary plant and all functions.
Responsibilities:
- Train personnel in the proper and safe operation of their equipment.
- Leads daily 60/360 discussions, near miss reviews and safety meetings.
- Oversee all safety, environmental, and quality control aspects of his area of responsibility.
- Review all operator equipment reports.
- Perform a twice daily check on all stationary secondary crushing equipment.
- Plan and execute equipment maintenance activities in the secondary plant areas.
- Oversee and participate in the quality control/quality monitoring program.
- Track and report equipment availability and downtime.
- Order spare parts and monitor spare parts inventory for the secondary crushing, screening and washing equipment.
- Write maintenance reports on any major repairs to this equipment.
- Solve and document personnel problems in a calm and effective manner that minimizes any disruption to plant production.
- Participate in management functions including off-site meetings, training courses and team building exercises.
Requirements:
- A minimum of (5) five years of mining experience and/or working in a Lead Man position.
- High School Diploma or GED is required, two or four year degree is preferred.
- Certified QC Technician Preferred.
- Familiarity with: typical secondary plant production equipment including conveyors, crushing and screening equipment, secondary crushing and screening techniques, aggregate rinse systems, settling pond maintenance, sampling, gradation testing and quality control reporting.
