Overview:
Aggregate Producer is seeking a Plant Manager to direct and manage all processing plant operations with the overall responsibility for production, maintenance and quality while maintaining a safety focused work environment.
Responsibilities:
- Establish a culture focused on safety and health, compliance withs company and regulatory safety, health and environmental standards.
- Plan and direct daily production plant activities to meet production goals.
- Implement and monitor procedures to maximize plant efficiency while controlling cost of production.
- Coordinate maintenance projects, service work and repairs to ensure proper utilization and maintenance of all equipment so that costs are minimized and all equipment is available when needed.
- Report, monitor and track production and maintenance activities.
- Lead continuous improvement efforts to ensure the location operates at optimal effectiveness and efficiency.
- Work with team in the plant to include operation of equipment as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of production experience in the aggregates industry, preferably sand and gravel mining
- Strong knowledge of all aspects of aggregate production – equipment, processes, inventory management, quality standards, metrics.
- Supervisory experience and very well-developed leadership skills
- Plant management experience – accountability for people, processes, productivity, quality, waste, costs, assets and compliance.
- Proficient knowledge of MSHA safety requirements preferred.
- Must have the ability to exercise discretion and good judgment in supervising subordinates.
- Self-motivated, ability to motivate a team.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel and Outlook.
