Overview:
Reporting to the VP, this role leads and executes projects focused on process improvements and operational excellence in asphalt production and application. The position requires a visionary with strong chemical engineering experience to manage high-level projects and drive innovation across multiple facilities. The ideal candidate will have leadership capabilities, taking a hands-on approach to problem-solving and process optimization.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage projects related to the production and application of asphalt materials.
- Coordinate & develop project timelines, classified project estimates, budgets, and resources to ensure successful project completion.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and quality of asphalt production and application.
- Oversee the design of new processes and facilities as needed (green and brownfield).
- Provide technical leadership and support to team members, ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices.
- Oversee the development and maintenance of technical documentation, engineering information, specifications, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Lead root cause analysis efforts for production challenges and implement corrective actions.
- Work closely with other departments to align engineering initiatives with company objectives.
- Collaborate with contractors, suppliers, and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, technologies, and advancements in asphalt materials and production techniques.
- Business travel to all sites is required. Travel may be 30-50%. Scheduling of travel is flexible and on an as needed basis.
