Overview:
One of the largest crushed stone companies is seeking a General Manager to operate limestone mines, asphalt plants and road construction crews.
Requirements:
- Degree in Mining Engineering, Civil Engineering, Construction Management or other related degree program. Graduate degree may be helpful but not required.
- At least 5-10 years of P&L experience running a business in the mining, road construction or construction products industry.
- Industry experience in aggregate mining and/or road construction.
- A leader who knows to put safety first, and by putting safety first, knows quality, profitability and business success will follow.
- Proven leader who has managed interrelated businesses and has a track record of profitable growth.
- A leader who knows what drives the aggregate mining and road construction business and will focus on strategic growth in the market area.
- Track record of building strong relationships with state DOT officials and sub-contractors.
- This is a significant opportunity for the right candidate with a career track that can lead to Vice President, Division Vice President, Chief Operating Officer or more.
