Overview:
Reputable construction materials producer is seeking a National Trucking Operations Leader. This is a senior-level position responsible for overseeing and managing the transportation and logistics operations of a trucking company across a nation. This role involves strategic planning, optimizing supply chain processes, ensuring compliance with transportation regulations, and improving overall efficiency and profitability.
Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning:
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance operational efficiency and profitability.
- Align trucking operations with the company’s overall goals and objectives.
- In charge of lease agreements and maintenance / bridging the gap with policies for all the terminals
Operational Management:
- Oversee daily trucking operations, including dispatching, routing, and fleet management.
- Ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods across the nation.
Compliance and Safety:
- Ensure all operations comply with federal, state, and local transportation regulations.
- Promote and enforce safety standards to minimize accidents and incidents.
Financial Management:
- Manage budgets, control costs, and optimize resource allocation.
- Analyze financial reports to identify areas for cost reduction and performance improvement.
Team Leadership:
- Lead, train, and mentor a team of managers, drivers, and support staff.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Customer Relations:
- Maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Address customer concerns and ensure high levels of satisfaction
Requirements:
- Experience: Extensive experience in transportation and logistics, with a proven track record of managing large-scale operations.
- Leadership: Strong leadership and managerial skills, with the ability to lead diverse teams.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
- Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Education: A degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field is often preferred.
