Position Overview:
A reputable asphalt emulsions producer is seeking an experienced Plant Manager to oversee daily production, plant operations, maintenance, and personnel. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of asphalt emulsions manufacturing, bulk liquid handling, and operational efficiency, along with proven leadership experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily asphalt emulsions production, ensuring quality, efficiency, and safety.
- Manage plant personnel, production schedules, and overall operational performance.
- Oversee asphalt emulsification processes, including colloid mills, chemical blending, and emulsifier formulations.
- Coordinate bulk liquid storage, tank transfers, truck and railcar unloading, and inventory management.
- Ensure proper maintenance of pumps, tanks, piping, heating systems, and production equipment.
- Monitor product quality, specifications, and testing in coordination with Quality Control.
- Maintain compliance with OSHA, EPA, and applicable environmental and safety regulations.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement, cost reduction, and increased productivity.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in asphalt emulsions or liquid/modified asphalt production.
- Previous Plant Management or Production Supervisory experience.
- Strong understanding of asphalt emulsions manufacturing, colloid mills, blending, and chemical handling.
- Experience with bulk storage tanks, pumps, piping, and liquid transfer systems.
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance, inventory control, and production scheduling.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
