Overview:
- This position will execute all stages of Engineering Project Management.
- Large capital projects, smaller plant support projects, process improvement projects, and projects that the Project Engineer identifies the need for.
- The Project Engineer will initially have no direct reports but may in the future. Safety as the number one priority
Responsibilities:
- Manage scoping and completion of assigned projects
- Manage completion of process/process improvement-related projects
- Monitoring compliance to applicable codes, practices, policies, performance standards, and specifications
- Manage and direct work crews of contractors, internal personnel, and a combination of both
- Provide input to operations, maintenance, and logistics personnel from an “engineering perspective”
- Perform overall quality control of the work (budget, schedule, plans, personnel’s performance) and report regularly on project status
- Assign responsibilities and mentor project team
- Review engineering deliverables and initiate appropriate corrective actions
Requirements:
- BS degree in Engineering or relevant field.
- 3-5 years experience.
- Proven working experience as a Project Engineer in a manufacturing environment
- Excellent knowledge of design and visualization software such as AutoCAD (Inventor/Solid Works a plus)
- Advanced MS Office skills
- Familiarity with rules, regulations, best practices, and performance standards
- Ability to work on multiple projects
- Skilled in project management, leadership, organization, and decision-making
- Experience in asphalt, petroleum or continuous manufacturing environments a Plus
