Overview:
Superintendent – Industrial Floors to oversee and manage all aspects of on-site install and to be responsible for supervising up to 3 crews on–site.
Responsibilities:
- Project Leadership: Lead and manage on-site installation teams, ensuring projects are completed efficiently, on time, and to the highest quality standards.
- Installation Expertise: Perform skilled installation of various flooring systems, including but not limited to epoxy and urethane coatings, concrete polishing, ensuring adherence to manufacturer specifications and industry best practices and our companies’ years of expertise and installation knowledge.
- Site Preparation: Oversee surface preparation activities such as grinding, shot blasting, and moisture testing to ensure optimal substrate conditions for coating applications.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough inspections during and after installation to guarantee the durability, aesthetics, and performance of the flooring systems.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols and OSHA regulations, promoting a culture of safety among team members.
- Client Interaction: Serve as the primary on-site point of contact for clients, addressing concerns, providing updates, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Logistics Coordination: Manage project logistics, including scheduling, material procurement, and equipment maintenance, to ensure seamless operations.
- Training and Development: Mentor and train junior installers, fostering skill development and promoting a cohesive team environment.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in resinous flooring installation, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead role.
- In-depth knowledge of resinous flooring systems and or concrete polishing surface preparation techniques, and application methods.
- Proven ability to lead teams, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and make informed decisions under pressure.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy materials and operating equipment.
- OSHA 30-hour certification desired and will be a job requirement; other relevant industry certifications are a plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and team members.
