Overview:
Aggregate / Frac Sand Company is seeking a Asset Care Manager to provide leadership and direct strategy for the maintenance and procurement effort in support of the plants strategic production plans.
Responsibilities:
- Develops and executes plants strategic 6-month, 1-year and 3-year strategy plans, equipment life cycle and collaborates with the plant manager to generate improvements.
- Makes proactive recommendations to keep assets running at top performance levels.
- Continually reduces equipment downtime through the implementation of a Lean/preventive/predictive Continuous Improvement maintenance program.
- Maintains operational integrity of assigned department, ensures processes are effectively established, followed, monitored, and optimized.
- Develops a strategic approach to procurement and material management process for the purchase of direct and indirect goods and services.

- Monitors, maintains, and continuously improves processes that will ensure material movement both systemically and physically.
- Ensures that good housekeeping practices are being followed in order to keep areas neat, clean, and safe. Ensures areas always inspection ready.
- Strong leadership skills, conflict resolution, facilitation, change management skills, decision making, empowerment and delegation.
- Must be able to create a sense of accomplishments and foster a cross-functional work model to remove obstacles while implementing changes.
- Responsible for the coaching, guidance, mentorship and career development of the Maintenance Manager, Maintenance Planner, Procurement Manager and ensuring those managers develop their direct reports.
- Acts as advisor to subordinates.
- Works in conjunction with Human Resources to provide timely performance feedback to team members and timely submission of performance evaluations.
- Creates, monitors, and responds to departmental Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) to drive continuous improvement.
- Collects performance data across areas of responsibility and performs trend analysis to identify areas of improvement.
- Implements and applies Root Cause Analysis problem solving techniques to drive continuous improvement.
- Responsible for implementing and sustaining 5S methodology wherever feasible within the Maintenance and Procurement Departments.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 7 years’ experience of increasing levels of supervisory roles
- 10+ years of industrial maintenance/technical experience, with at least 3 of those years supporting sand plants.
- Demonstrated ability to support a short term and long-term maintenance plan showing year over year improvements.
- Lean Six Sigma, Continuous Improvement strategy and/or TPM Certifications highly desired.
- Strong leadership skills (conflict resolution, facilitation, change management skills, decision making, empowerment and delegation.
- Ability to be respectful, approachable and team oriented while building strong working relationships and a positive work environment.
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite software.
