Overview
The Dry Plant Manager is responsible for the operation of the dry plant, including drying, screening, storage, and loadout. This role ensures safe and efficient operations while delivering high-quality frac or industrial sand products to meet customer demands.
Responsibilities
- Direct daily dry plant production including drying, screening, and conveying.
- Lead and manage teams responsible for operations, maintenance, and loadout.
- Ensure product quality meets API/ISO or customer specifications.
- Maintain compliance with MSHA, OSHA, and environmental regulations.
- Oversee natural gas or propane-fired dryers, baghouses, and dust collection systems.
- Manage inventory and coordinate with logistics for timely shipments.
- Implement process improvements to increase throughput and reduce downtime.
- Track KPIs and report on performance to corporate leadership.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; technical training in industrial operations a plus.
- 5+ years in dry plant or mineral processing leadership roles.
- Knowledge of dryers, conveyors, screens, and loadout systems.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and maintenance management experience.
- Experience with dust control and air permitting compliance.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational abilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
