Overview
The EHS Manager will be responsible for the site’s environmental, health, and safety programs and compliance.
Responsibilities
- Conduct site audits, inspections, and risk assessments for environmental, health, and safety compliance.
- Lead investigations of incidents and potential risk exposures, implementing corrective actions.
- Develop and deliver training programs, orientations, and emergency response drills.
- Partner with operations and customer representatives to align on safety and environmental expectations.
- Manage compliance reporting and maintain accurate EHS records.
- Oversee workers’ compensation case management and follow-up.
- Track and analyze EHS metrics to recommend improvement strategies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Environmental Science, or related field; or equivalent industry experience.
- 5+ years of EHS leadership experience in energy, mining, or heavy industrial settings.
- Safety certifications (CSP, ASP, CHST, or equivalent) preferred.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA, MSHA, DOT, and environmental compliance standards.
- Experience with compliance platforms (Avetta, ISNetWorld, PEC Veriforce).
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Must be legally eligible to work in the United States.
- Ability to travel as needed and meet site safety requirements.
