Overview
The Plant Supervisor supports the Plant Manager by overseeing shift operations in either the wet or dry plant. This role ensures safe production practices, equipment reliability, and adherence to quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Supervise plant operators and maintenance staff on assigned shifts.
- Coordinate production schedules to meet output and quality goals.
- Ensure safe work practices and compliance with MSHA regulations.
- Perform routine inspections of plant equipment and report issues.
- Assist with training, mentoring, and development of plant personnel.
- Monitor operational data, troubleshoot problems, and recommend solutions.
- Support implementation of preventative maintenance programs.
- Provide shift reports and communicate updates to Plant Manager.
Requirements
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent experience accepted.
- 3+ years of experience in sand, aggregate, or industrial plant operations.
- Working knowledge of wet and/or dry plant equipment and processes.
- Strong leadership and team-building skills.
- Good understanding of safety regulations and production reporting.
- Ability to work flexible shifts as needed.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Legally eligible to work in the United States.
