Overview:
Heavy Construction Company is seeking a Construction Manager to be responsible for planning, execution and monitoring of overall production and profitability of construction operations.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for overall safety
- Supervise all aspects of construction operations
- Supervise bidding and estimating
- Assign contracts/projects to Project Managers
- Monitor all aspects of construction performance
- Prepare profit and loss reports
- Hire, direct and promote supervisory personnel
- Oversee subcontractors and staff in planning and executing construction projects
- Communicate goals and objectives to construction teams
- Positive relationships with state, county local government and industry officials
- Ensure required equipment is received on time
- Implement plans for efficient use of materials, machines and employees
- Review construction costs and product quality
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or similar
- 10 years of experience in paving, utility and road/bridge construction
- 5 years of experience managing and leading teams
- Working knowledge of federal, state and local agency regulations
- Proficient at using computer programs
