Overview:
Asphalt Company is seeking a Division Manager to oversee all departments and functions associated with asphalt operations.
Responsibilities:
- Provide overall direction and leadership.
- Oversee all departments within the asphalt division.
- Develop and implement operational goals, objectives, and KPIs.
- Monitor labor cost, staffing levels, and productivity to support production and delivery schedules.
- Negotiate and manage the purchase of asphalt and related materials.
- Ensure operational and financial goals are met.
- Review and analyze performance metrics.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, environmental regulations, and standards.
- Provide coaching, mentoring, and performance management.
- Promote a strong safety culture and develop the company’s commitment to zero recordables.
- Partner with Technical Services and Quality Control teams to support mix design performance and troubleshooting.
- Acquire and maintain partnerships with key clients, vendors, and industry networks to promote long-term relationships.
- Identify and implement operational improvements, sustainability initiatives, and efficiency projects.
Requirements:
- 10+ years of experience in asphalt production, paving, or heavy civil construction.
- 5+ years in a senior management or multi-site leadership role (Area Manager or higher).
- Proven ability to manage budgets, labor, and P&L performance.
- Demonstrated experience in vendor negotiations and purchasing.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred.
- Valid Class C driver’s license with a clean driving record.
