Overview:
A growing recycling organization is seeking an experienced Business Development professional to drive growth by developing new customer relationships and expanding existing accounts. This role is ideal for a motivated sales professional with experience in metals recycling, electronics recycling (e-scrap), industrial recycling, or related commodity markets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute strategies to grow business with industrial, commercial, and institutional customers.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, and market research.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with customers while expanding existing accounts.
- Prepare and present customized proposals, pricing, and service solutions.
- Negotiate commercial agreements and manage opportunities from initial contact through close.
- Stay informed on market trends, commodity pricing, and competitive activity to identify growth opportunities.
- Collaborate with operations and leadership to ensure customer expectations are met and projects are successfully executed.
- Maintain an active sales pipeline and regularly report on business development activities and results.
Qualifications:
- Proven success in B2B business development, commercial sales, or commodity purchasing.
- Experience within metals recycling, electronics recycling, industrial recycling, manufacturing, or related industries preferred.
- Strong relationship-building, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and manage multiple opportunities simultaneously.
- Comfortable presenting solutions to customers and senior decision-makers.
- Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office.
