Overview:
A growing metals recycling company is seeking an experienced Chief Executive Officer to lead the organization through its next phase of strategic growth. This executive will provide overall leadership for a profitable metals recycling operation while driving commercial expansion, operational excellence, and future acquisitions.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in non-ferrous metals recycling, with particular expertise in copper and aluminum, along with a proven track record of building customer relationships, growing revenue, and leading high-performing teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute the company’s long-term growth strategy while maintaining a strong focus on profitability.
- Lead all commercial, operational, and financial aspects of the business.
- Build and strengthen relationships with key suppliers, industrial accounts, brokers, consumers, and strategic partners.
- Expand domestic and international customer relationships, including consumers and trading partners.
- Drive purchasing, sales, and pricing strategies across non-ferrous material streams.
- Identify and execute acquisition opportunities while supporting the successful integration of future operations.
- Develop organizational structure, leadership teams, and operational processes to support continued growth.
- Partner with executive leadership to establish budgets, financial objectives, and performance metrics.
- Foster a culture of accountability, safety, customer service, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- Executive leadership experience within the metals recycling industry.
- Strong commercial background in non-ferrous metals, particularly copper and aluminum.
- Proven success developing supplier and customer relationships across domestic and international markets.
- Experience overseeing purchasing, sales, operations, and financial performance.
- Demonstrated ability to lead organizational growth, acquisitions, and multi-site operations.
- Strong understanding of commodity markets and non-ferrous pricing dynamics.
- Experience leading business expansion through acquisitions and operational integration.
- Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and strategic planning skills.
- Relevant Bachelor’s Degree Preferred.
