Overview:
A Metals Recycling Company is hiring a hands-on Facility Manager to run the daily operations of the shop. This is a working manager role for someone with metals recycling experience who can lead the yard, operate the scale, and handle customer transactions.
Responsibilities:
- Open and close the shop each day
- Manage daily yard operations (ferrous & non-ferrous metals)
- Operate the scale and use computer systems
- Pay customers and balance cash at day’s end
- Answer phones and assist customers
- Supervise staff and ensure safe operations
Requirements:
- Experience in metals recycling (ferrous & non-ferrous knowledge)
- Prior management or yard leadership experience preferred
- Comfortable with computers and scale systems
- Strong customer service and cash-handling skills
- Reliable, organized, and safety-focused
