Overview:
An established metals recycling is seeking an Industrial Buyer to support procurement and commercial growth across the Gulf region. This role will focus on sourcing raw materials, developing supplier relationships, and driving profitability through strategic purchasing and market insight.
Key Responsibilities:
- Source and procure a range of metals including stainless, nickel alloys, aluminum, copper, tungsten, and tool steels
- Develop and manage relationships with fabricators, manufacturers, and industrial generators
- Identify new supply opportunities while growing volumes with existing accounts
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, and terms to maximize margin and supply reliability
- Monitor market trends, pricing, and inventory levels to support buying decisions
- Coordinate inbound logistics and ensure timely delivery of materials
- Partner with internal teams to align procurement with production needs
- Manage supplier performance, resolve quality issues, and oversee settlements
- Track performance metrics and support continuous margin improvement
Qualifications:
- 5+ years non-ferrous / specialty metal scrap buyer experience
- Strong understanding of non-ferrous metal grades, specifications, and market dynamics
- Proven negotiation skills and ability to build supplier relationships
- Analytical mindset with the ability to track performance and profitability
- Familiarity with logistics, inventory management, and ERP systems
- Bachelor’s degree preferred (business, engineering, or related field)
