Overview:
Leading Metals Recycling Company a seeks a Location Manager to be responsible for overseeing all activities related to the safe and efficient operation of the shredder facility in the south. This role involves managing various departments, supervising staff, maintaining customer relationships, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards, managing budgets, and performing operational tasks as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the shredding, ferrous and non-ferrous operations, ensuring quality standards.
- Manage a team of employees – recruiting, training, discipling as needed.
- Maintain excellent communication and relations with peddlers and commercial accounts.
- Price and grade scrap materials.
- Ensure compliance with company EHS policies and OSHA regulations.
- Oversee building and equipment maintenance, identifying and addressing replacement needs promptly.
- Manage costs and expenditures, taking proactive measures to achieve or exceed budgeted targets for yard volume, net profit, and ROI.
- Prepare and monitor annual budgets and monthly operating reports, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
- Heavy equipment operation and light equipment maintenance
Requirements:
- 5+ years metals recycling industry experience
- Shredder operations and supervisory experience required
- Strong communication skills and decision-making skills
- Hands-on management approach
- Ability to travel, a valid driver’s license is required
