Overview:
We are partnering with a well-established metals recycling organization to identify a Non-Ferrous Operations Manager to oversee all non-ferrous processing, inventory, and shipping activities at a high-volume facility. This role reports to the Facility Manager and is responsible for driving safe, efficient, and profitable NF operations.
Responsibilities:
- Lead all non-ferrous yard operations, including receiving, processing, packaging, and outbound shipments
- Supervise, train, and develop NF staff; support hiring, performance management, and corrective actions
- Ensure outbound material meets weight, quality, and packaging specifications; review returns and address quality issues
- Maintain daily inventory accuracy and ensure material availability aligns with customer requirements
- Drive safety compliance through active observation, coaching, and enforcement of safe work practices
- Manage operating costs and performance against volume, margin, and ROI targets
- Coordinate maintenance planning and operational scheduling to support uptime and throughput
Requirements:
- 5+ years of Metals Recycling Industry Non-Ferrous Operations Experience
- Knowledgeable in non-ferrous scrap grading and quality standards
- Proven leadership style with clear, open communication across all levels of the organization
- Willingness to travel occasionally to other facilities or customers as needed
- Valid driver’s license required
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred
