Overview:
An industrial processing company is seeking an experienced Plant Manager to lead a highly technical production facility focused on the recovery and processing of critical minerals and metals.
This is a unique opportunity for a hands-on operational leader with a strong background in metallurgical processing, mineral processing, industrial engineering, or inorganic chemical processing. The successful candidate will combine deep technical expertise with proven leadership experience to oversee plant operations, optimize production, and drive continuous improvement in a complex manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead all aspects of plant operations, production, safety, quality, and environmental compliance.
- Oversee multidisciplinary processing systems while driving operational efficiency and process optimization.
- Manage plant personnel, production planning, maintenance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, environmental regulations, and ISO quality standards.
- Monitor product quality, process performance, and operational KPIs.
- Collaborate with engineering and technical teams to improve processing technologies and production capabilities.
- Support logistics, inventory management, and customer delivery performance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Metallurgy, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related technical discipline; advanced degree preferred.
- Strong background in mineral processing, metallurgical operations, inorganic chemical processing, or advanced industrial manufacturing.
- Demonstrated success leading complex industrial operations and multidisciplinary teams.
- Experience managing safety, environmental compliance, quality systems, and continuous improvement programs.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to balance technical excellence and operational performance.
- Willingness to travel occasionally as needed.
