Overview:
A leading Metals Recycling Company is seeking an experienced and dedicated Process Engineer to manage the chemical processes of the processing and electroplating facility in Mid-Atlantic Region. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in metals recycling or heavy industrial manufacturing engineering, with expertise in large-scale chemical processes and industrial lab testing.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and make adjustments to daily processes to ensure optimal efficiency and product quality.
- Monitor the efficiency of operations and conduct cost-benefit analyses to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Assist in the development and improvement of operating practices to enhance safety and efficiency.
- Lead process improvement projects, including planning, implementation, and evaluation of results.
- Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to troubleshoot issues and implement solutions.
- Participate in planning meetings and activities to ensure alignment of process engineering goals with business objectives.
- Prepare and submit daily reports on process performance and project progress.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in metals recycling or heavy industrial manufacturing engineering.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (preferably metallurgical or chemical engineering).
- Experience with large-scale chemical processes and industrial lab testing.
- Knowledge of ferrous scrap metal processing is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
